BLUE NOTE RECORDS

Blue Note Records commissioned a series of album packages for historic live recordings, including Charles Mingus, Eric Dolphy, Horace Silver, Freddie Hubbard, and Thelonious Monk. We created illustrated portraits and abstract visual systems that reflected the energy of the performances while referencing Blue Note’s design legacy. The work was applied across CD packaging and booklets, integrating archival materials into cohesive visual narratives. The releases reintroduced these recordings to a contemporary audience and achieved strong commercial success.
